Also a special thank you to the SPCA for taking care of our four legged resident , “Sookie” until the all clear is given. We will continue to update here for further updates. Evacuation Alert Issued for Kimberley

#Evacuation Alert issued for the @CityofKimberley. Details and map of the area available here: #RDKE #BCWildfire
The City of Kimberley has issued an evacuation alert for Kimberley as of late last night. Although an evacuation order has not been issued at this time, We are contacting local families of residents and recommending if possible they remove their family member from the affected area while under the alert to minimize any stress on their loved one.
We have been working closely with local authorities this past week on a plan to move remaining residents to the safe area should an evacuation order be issued.
Please contact the Manor directly for any questions, or to coordinate. 250 427 4423
We continue to watch the situation closely.
Thank you,
– Kimbrook Manor

Community Garden Begins!

With the warmer weather, spring is pushing the snow away. We thought we’d help it out by starting our annual Garden Project. Wednesdays at 2pm please join us in the main dining hall to plant your choice of a selection of seeds including Tomato, Cucumber, bean and pea plants as well as a nice selection of flowers. This will give us a nice jump on our new raised garden beds that will be installed near the outdoor recreation area in May! Can’t wait to try those tomatoes!images
